Let's BarterUp!: Bureaucracy in the Mind: How to Know When You're Dealing With This & What to do Next.: "I think that the economy is going to take longer to recover than people are willing to entertain (understandably); however, we can take the lemons and make lemonade (my final cliche, I promise). We should study the unraveling and restructuring of the institutions that run on the bureaucratic model, to see how we can make new opportunities for ourselves and others, and how we can avoid becoming like the old institutions by increasing the standards of efficiency. People who were 'getting by' on attaching themselves to tenured-style rights instead of merit are slowly being exposed to the real world and for them it's not pretty.

For those with a new mindset, the opportunities outweigh the pain."
