Rakkaat ystävät, tätä maisemaa ei enää ole. Kiinalaiset etsivät mahdollisuuksia muualta. Turha minua on syyttä; raportoin muutoksista maailmassa!

Kouvolan China Center on odotetusti pantu pakettiin, runsaasti julkisuutta saanut liiketoiminta lienee tiensä päässä.

Usein innovaatioille käy näin. Kiinalaisten bisnekset eivät edenneet niin kuin Strömössä.

Asioista perillä olevat tahot tietävät, miksi kaikki meni pieleen alusta alkaen. Pystyn samaistumaan jälkiviisaitten marmatukseen.

Varhaisessa vaiheessa oli syytä olettaa, että Kouvolassa jokin oli pahasti pielessä.

Kiinalaiset eivät tunteneet markkinoita ja tarpeita; Kouvolaan tupattiin ylijäämätavaraa hikipajoista. Harva suomalaisen tiesi kauppapaikan sijainnista. Missä Kouvola oikein on?

Virkamiehet ovat harvoin innovaattoreita:  China Centerissä tämäkin ennuste toteutui sataprosenttisesti.

Rakkaat lukijat, myötävaikuttamisen idea ei mene putkeen toisellakaan paikkakunnalla, jonka nimeä ei ole syytä mainita.

Neuvottelijat saivat luettavakseen kovan kirjelmän, joka lupasi  vastapuolelle Gulagia ja huonoja aikoja sopimuskauden jälkeen; synkkiä visioita ylipäätään. Emme jaksaneet suhtautua ennustukseen riittävällä vakavuudella.

Emme sulattaneet kaikkia uhkauksia, kun emme niitä ymmärtäneetkään.

Todellisuus osoittautui toisenlaiseksi:

1. Johtokunta päättää tasan tarkkaan, missä roolissa neuvottelemme.
2. Asiantuntijoita vaihdellaan: opimme tietämään, missä roolissa vastapuolen konsultit ja juristit liikkuivat.
3. Oletettavasti vastapuolen konsultit ja juristit eivät osallistu kokoukseen lainkaan ja olemme muutoksesta yllättyneitä.
4. Pitäisikö meidän tästä pillastua ja vaatia muutosta ja asiantuntijoiden osallistumista? 
5. Ei syytä hötkyilyyn, elämä on!

Earlier this year, Ning announced over 1 million social networks on their platform. How much could one of those with 1,200 members sell for?

Lance Haun, and Laurie Ruettimann just sold HRMToday, a niche social and blog network for the HR community sold last night on ebay for $4,075. The auction received 1,928 hits, and the price jumped $1,500 during the final 10 minutes.

What’s next for the site? We’ll have to wait and see what the buyer has in mind. In the end, the sites future clearly depends on their communication, approach, and strategy. If the community is not engaged fairly quickly, it will be interesting to see their response. As Lance mentioned in a recent blog post, the site added 12 members this past week.

As sites, networks, and blogs continue to merge I would expect we’ll see more of this in the social networking space. Especially with groups on Ning given the communities and functionality of their platform."

If you’re a business that offers a really good product or service, don’t back down on your marketing. Just because all people / clients aren’t buying, doesn’t mean, no one will. New things happen in the market place. Investments are made. ICT, social media, new collaborative methods will receive spending even though the economic climate might look little gloomy for some time to come.

I wrote the following not on Facebook to a potential new member December 19, 2009 and decided to add a few lines to give a better picture of this network and about KK-Net's intentions and goals.

Dear reader,

Good morning, I'm doing well, rose early this morning. We've new people on board and there is a lot on the table before traveling to northern Finland to enjoy White Christmas. We've an office and house in Sotkamo, 600 km north of Loviisa, in addition to our "project office" in Loviisa.

KK-Net(work) is an open innovation and collaboration platform for people, entrepreneurs and businesses who like to benefit from doing things together on a 1to1, B2B, B2C or M2M basis.
